I have heard all the good things about Zoya polish and it is very beautiful, BUT, I have also heard some not so good things about their customer service. Nevertheless, I LOVE a good deal and the Zoya exchange was an excellent program so I sent in my order and my polishes 10 of them to be exact and then I waited, and waited, and waited. I had not heard from them and it has been about 3-4 weeks so I decided to go on their web site and check with their customer service live online. She proceeds to tell me that my order has been canceled, so I asked her why, she stated that my cc did not pass security clearance (not the word she used but I can't think of it right now) and that they had tried to contact me but I did not respond. Well I never received and email or phone call from them but I would think they would have sent me a letter if all else failed letting me know that I needed to resubmit my card. Now I used my cc everyday all day for all purchases, because it is my Visa check card so I can't imagine what could be wrong. She said she did not know but would retry and at this point, I am a little hesitant as I have been a victim of ID theft before and it is not cute. So I asked if they were going to send my polishes back that they have received and she stated ....NO THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN DESTROYED!!!.
Now here is where I am irritated, because if my cc did not go through correctly, then you would have known that like immediately or within 24 hours at most, and if numbers were transposed (which is what she thinks may have happened) then it would have told me so when I hit submit however I sent the polishes in like 4 days later, waaaay after my order was submitted, with my order form so you knew when you destroyed my polishes that you were not going to send me more because there was a problem with my order so now I am pissed. Needless to say I will not be trying Zoya polishes unless I find a good deal somewhere else, because now I am very uneasy with their customer service. I will find other beautiful collections to indulge in.
A small space to express my creativity through nail art, discover new polishes and meet new people!

Mini, Mini, Haul
I managed to grab these two boxes at Marshall's, they are Goldie Nail Polishes and originally I believe they were made for Bath and Body Works. They originally retailed at $9.00 per bottle but Marshall's is selling them for 4.99 for three in a box. They are very pretty and planning on using the pink one on my toes this week and will post. So far seems to be a very good deal. I used the one on top of the box on the throwback below as a layered look. It is really pretty and glittery in a subtle way. I only wish I knew the names of each of them.

Throwback - Avon French Tip Lilac
This is an official old skool/throwback polish from Avon produced in 2003, it is a neutral color and I tend to lean toward the more vibrant colors so I have rarely worn it but tried it today anyway. I layered it with a new polish I got called Goldie, which I will post about shortly. Overall it is okay, very hard for me to apply these kind of colors because it takes so many coats to keep them from streaking, but nevertheless here is the reveal:

I do like it with the layered polish though a lot better!!

Diva Nails

Well I was trying to achieve some sort of diva greatness with this manicure but it did not last long at all. I kept having problems with the kiss me words and my black ends began to creep up quickly. It was a cute look for 2 days though. Took way too much time and patience though. Sorry for the messy edges had not cleaned up yet.

Also I broke a nail all the way down to the flesh right after finishing this and it was a horrific ordeal. My hand looks quite retarded now.

Hello all,
I am one to always do extensive research on anything before jumping into it and recently read a book that I wanted to share with you. This week I read "rescue your nails" by Ji Baek, the founder of Rescue Beauty Lounge, New York's top nail spa. This was a really easy read ladies, and trust me I am not an avid reader.
Although most of the tips in the book were common knowledge to me, I did learn many new things and will put several of them into play starting with my very next manicure tomorrow. Basically she explains how you can do your own very professional, and efficient manicures and pedicures at home for half the cost or little of nothing. She introduces some excellent solutions and ideas using things already in your home that you would probably discard anyway. Ideas such as using facial moisturizer as hand cream and facial scrubs and cuticle scrubs.
I was enlightened by her method for sterilizing your home equipment (something I never even thought of doing) and her opinion and advice on metal vs plastic manicure supplies. This book is located on Amazon and is very, very, affordable like less than $1.00 used so if you get a chance you should really check it out and take your hands and feet to the next level.

Konad-ics
Sigh, I have been experimenting with Konad and I like, it I really do, but I
can't get it to be consistent. Like get the design on the same spot on every nail. But nevertheless I rocked this look this week with many compliments. I would like some advice though on painting the nails all the way to the bottom so the little white tip does not show. Any suggestions are appreciated. Oh and the polish is Revlon Dark Pleasures

Toerrific
Last night I tried and tried to do my nails, but everything that I did just came out awful, I normally do my manicures on Sunday for the week (look of the week) type thing but I was really off yesterday. So I decided to do my pedicure in a sort of design instead of plain polish.
This look is inspired by a book I purchased several years ago called Toerrific. It has excellent how to's and design ideas for pedicures. Check out their website and I think the book is on Amazon. Anyway here is the look and colors, it is sort of like an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top.

My Very First Post
Wow I can't believe it, after stalking so many nail blogs I finally decided to make my own. Well I have been interested in doing nails for a long time and have always did home manicures and pedicures. I have a special preference for natural nails, but nothing against the acrylics. I just prefer natural for me. I will have to admit, I have not updated my collection in quite some time and a lot of my polishes are very old, yet still serve their purpose. However I am ready to step into the present and get some new stuff and some new looks.
For now I will show you my current OOOLLLDDD collection and you will see me update weekly and give you my weekly looks, tips, info, whatever. Without further ado, my collection:
Pink, what can I say I am female!

The blues, not many but still I use them, mostly on toes though.

This is the clears, base and top coats, and mostly french manicure sets, at some point I must have been really into those!

Greens - aahh love these, one of the colors I must stock up on!
Pink, what can I say I am female!
Reds, burgandy, thought I had more!
Yellow!!
After assessing my collection, I know I need much more high quality polishes, holographics, chromes, shimmers, metallics whew I better get to work. Tata for now.
