Inspired By: Essence Magazine

I'm sure many of you nail art addicts like me know that inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime. When I got home Wednesday my Essence Magazine for August was waiting in my mailbox. Inside the mag this month was a full mini book all about nails. Well you know I was excited. I immediately got inspired by the above picture and wanted to recreate it. I thought it looked really good and posted on my facebook page with very positive reviews. It was real simple and took minimum products.

Airbrushed ?

Currently wearing this beautiful manicure inspired by Lindsey Lohan. Remember the infamous nails with the words f___ you written on them? No, well here is a picture:

I believe this look was achieved by airbrushing, something I obviously can't do with my mediocre skills and no equipment, so I did a sponging technique instead. Basically I used the colors shown in picture 1 above, and in that exact orders. I used an old makeup sponge and some patience. Please excuse picture two as it is pre-cleanup. The third picture was taken with my phone so it is a little grainy but you can see the overall effect. Hope you enjoy.

Rasta Nails

Decided to try an inspired by look for the beginning of this week. The third picture is a pair of thread earrings that inspired the entire look. I call these my rasta nails as they are the rasta colors. Please excuse my left had as I always have trouble drawing with it but they still were very cute nails.

Love4Nails and End of Summer Look

Hi Ladies
I am a nervous wreck this week. I forgot to mention that my son left for the Army August 30th and I have been just inconsolable since then. I am so worried and wound up all the time. I am really starting to just try and keep myself busy outside of work. I did these two looks in the last week. The first above is just a little messy end of summer fun look. Playing in Paint

A couple of manicures I did in the last week. The first one I am still wearing however the polished peeled off on one of them on my right hand. I originally got the look out of my inspiration folder but not sure who did it. Most people said it looked like Easter eggs though, and that was not what I was going for. The second I had done trying to do a little bit of an abstract flower look. It was cute but had real trouble on my left hand, hence the reason I did not take pictures of it. More pic's below sorry about the quality.

A Week of Variety

These first two pictures are of my inspirational look from love4nails last nail art that she uploaded on you tube. She is very, very talented and I have so many ideas in my head based on some of her looks. I loved it on her nails however when I put it on mine, because they are not all the same length, it was a bit too much so I did not wear it out. I tried the orange look at the bottom before the one at the top. I really liked it and got many compliments, but it did start to chip. I got very lazy on the flowers as well and started to do just some freehand art on the rest of the nails. Lastly is the look I am wearing now, it looked really good drawn on paper and in my head, but when I put it on my nails, it just doesn't do anything for me so I will be changing this one soon.

New Inspired Look

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, sorry I'm so late posting this week but it has been a hectic one. I did a couple of looks last week however, none of them were to my liking so I did not post. This one I am currently wearing is inspired by love4nails on you tube. I think she did this look a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was rather cute. I am going to try some new looks this weekend as I have a haul coming in from dollarnailart.com that I am excited about. I ordered some foils and am looking forward to trying them for the first time.

My first look on my shorter nails was this Hawaiian flower design that was inspired by love4nails on youtube. It was cute and lasted a long time. I just layered the three blues then went back in with dots.

My Fav So Far "Neon Tiger Stripes"

I'm really excited about this nail design so I gave myself a free pass to post out of order. This is the look I am currently wearing and I must say it is by far my fave. I am real proud of myself for this one, it is the most blinged out look I have done in a while. I got inspired for this look by a picture on Cool nail art board/forum. I wish I new the poster's name but I don't. As always I added my own flair to it. I will explain about the broken thumb in another post but wanted you all to see my current look. I also wanted to thank the few followers I have and let you guys know how much I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement so far. As with most of my post you can click on the picture to see it up close.

Neon Dots (inspired by Love4Nails channel)

I'm currently wearing this look have been for about 4 days but it's kinda shrinking now so probably going to redo today or tomorrow. This is inspired by Love4Nails youtube channel. Black Hearts

This is look that I got inspired from a Japanese nail art magazine. It looked really polished until I tried to trace the hearts. I did not have a glitter pen so I used like the striping polish which can be very hard to control when getting low. I am wondering though, this is day one, how do you guys keep the polished from shrinking at the end? I have a problem with that.

Jigsaw toes

I saw this design somewhere and thought it was really good so did my own replica of it: Not perfect but good enough. Rep if you like!!

10-1 Dalmatians

I had on this look last week for a couple of days. I need to work on my messiness but I am still learning and have no formal training. I need a mentor lol!! Anyways this started out as being a cow design with tips but I added the pink to try and make it stand out. My son said it was more of dalmatians so there you have it, its my dalmatian look now instead of cow.

Bee Manicure inspired by AllNailand Cosmetics blogs

Hey ladies,
My look for the week came inspired from another blogger whose work I admire. She is really talented and also has a you tube page which showcases her talent.
